Shopify, in addition to the monthly subscription fee, charges a commission on each transaction in the amount of 1-2%, depending on the plan chosen. Payment system fees are added to this fee (for example, Stripe charges 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction) unless you use Shopify Payments.
To connect paid applications, the cost of a monthly subscription fee increases, but if the necessary widgets are selected, which are correctly configured at the same time, they will pay for themselves many times over.

The functionality of themes for Shopify is quite wide, but despite this, there are certain limitations in layout and page design. You can implement a visually appealing design, but if you have a need to use any specific design solutions, you will most likely need to use the help of custom layout specialists or use the Shopify page builder.
Shopify is adapted mainly to foreign markets, which leads to several problematic points. The first of them is that there is no possibility to choose Ukrainian language of the personal account interface. For those who are at least a little familiar with the English language, this will not be a problem. For convenience, you can use the browser’s auto-translator.
It is rather problematic to connect delivery services and payment systems to work in the CIS due to the lack of ready-made modules. To resolve this issue, you need to contact the experts.
Creating a store on Shopify involves the use of templates, the text of the elements of which is in English by default. If you want to create a site in another language, Shopify will automatically translate part of the content, but depending on the chosen topic, some elements will need to be translated yourself, which will slightly increase the store development time.
Despite the above drawbacks, compared to similar platforms, Shopify is a convenient and multifunctional platform that can cover almost all the needs of an entrepreneur who wants to launch their own online store.
